Grant Morrison, Tom King, Brian K. Vaughan bring new comics to Substack

Email newsletter platform Substack is continuing its push into comics publishing with the announcement that six more high-profile creators will use the service to launch new subscription-supported projects this year. The platform has also announced 2022 new publications by the second wave of creators.

Substack’s first creators are led by Grant Morrison (scottish comics legend), who has a new independent publication. Saga Y: The Last ManBrian K. Vaughan is back with writer Pride of BaghdadNiko Henrichon, artist for a joint project.

Substack is trying to attract comics creators from DC/Marvel with the same pitch it has attracted big-name writers and journalists to its service (sometimes helped by large signing fees).
