Fortnite gets skins for Gears of War’s Marcus Fenix, Kait Diaz

Gears of War’s Marcus Fenix and Kait Diaz are finally coming to Fortnite — a game developed by Epic Games, the original creators of the Gears franchise. They will be dropping into the Fortnite Store Thursday, 7 p.m. ET. ET. Gears of War 4And Gears 5Marcus means “era”, which is Marcus the old-man Marcus.

Kait’s outfit comes with a bonus “Winter Orange Style,” but to get Marcus’ alternate look, players will need to play a match on an Xbox Series X or Series S. Doing so will unlock the Matte Black Style, which turns his armor from silver to black — similar to the matte black Master Chief from last year.

Epic will be adding a variety of Gears of War items to their online store, in addition to these characters. Marcus will be available alongside the Sonic Resonator Back Bling, while Kait goes with the Reyna’s Pendant Back Bling. You can also get the Breaker Mace Pickaxe and Thumper Pickaxe as well as the Butcher Cleaver Pickaxe. Skiff available Gears of War 5New gliders will also be introduced. Gears of War will have emotes and sprays as well as some quests.
