Xbox, The Rock, and Netflix Reveal ‘The Xbox Vault’ for 20th Anniversary
In celebration of our official 20th anniversary, Xbox announced a global partnership with Netflix’s “Red Notice” starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Ryan Reynolds, and Gal Gadot. The film features an FBI profiler pursuing the world’s most wanted art thief who becomes his reluctant partner in crime to catch an elusive crook who’s always one step ahead.

Let’s Rewind the Clock with the Xbox Legend
Many people remember the moment Johnson appeared at CES 20 years ago to unveil the Xbox One console. So it only made sense that he would appear on the inside broadcast celebrating our 20th anniversary. Xbox Vault — an immersive online experience inspired by “Red Notice” and filled with legendary Xbox artifacts, giving fans a chance to win over 1,000 limited-edition prizes. You will find Xbox accessories and characters from all eras in the virtual vault. Halo, Gears of War, Forza Horizon, Minecraft, Microsoft Flight Simulator, Doom, FalloutAnd many other things.

Johnson explains the premise is simple: He’s trying to prevent his “Red Notice” compatriots and master thieves, Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot, from stealing the Xbox artifacts, and needs fans help to protect the treasures, ensuring he remains the people’s champion for good. What’s the prize? You can win prizes such as:
- A one-of-a-kind oil painting of “The Rock,” illustrating when he revealed the first Xbox on the CES stage in 2001.
- The movie’s props were three replica Cleopatra Eggs. Fans can find hidden Xbox eggs in the egg.
- One of 20 custom “Red Notice” Xbox Series X consoles, featuring a bright red and illuminating gold design with a kaleidoscope pattern of the coveted Cleopatra Eggs.
- 1,000 collectible trading cards featuring the “Red Notice” cast and 12-month subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
Fans are given four minutes to search The Xbox Vault for the 27 artifacts, and to answer trivia questions related to each one. This will earn them points towards their total score. Players will be eligible to enter the worldwide sweepstakes if they earn 1000 points. The vault lights up red when there is too much time, and the security doors close at the end of the time. But don’t fret – you can play as many times as you like, and the site will accept your highest score as entry into the sweepstakes.
