There are many amazing games to be played, but today I want to remind everyone that among this melting pot of titles there are some interesting independent gems that are waiting to grab your attention. Today I will briefly introduce you to just such a piece – Deflector – a game by  Arrowfist Games, which you can now play on Xbox consoles. Let’s go!

Before we dive into the details, let’s get the basics out of the way. Yes, the game’s title can provide you some hints about its mechanics, haha. I’ll tell you more. Deflector is a top down, action rogue-lite set in a intriguing sci-fi world – deadly microcosmos. The protagonist’s task here is to eliminate the viruses that have invaded the system. Actually, it all turns out to be a big experiment in which each of your failures provide new experience and data, allowing you to start the ‘research’ over and over again. All of this in a dark, intriguing setting, with heavy metal music playing in the background. You can feel it.

This game is a dynamic mix of action and management with elements of planning. Deflector This game has randomly generated enemies, levels and obstacles. Each experience is unique. The game also allows for you to progress in your style, e.g. by selecting the correct stops while traversing the maps. You can also choose to play in full speed by selecting the correct mode.
