New Elder Scrolls game surprise launches on Android

Google Play Store now offers a new Elder Scrolls game for Android. It’s called Castles in The Elder Scrolls. and it’s a lot alike another Bethesda Game Studios, The Fallout ShelterBut set in medieval fantasy Nirn.

Bethesda hasn’t said much, if anything, about The Elder Scrolls : Castles beyond what’s in the game’s listing on the Google Play Store. Castles is described as a simulation in which players manage, customize, and staff a castle; rule their kingdom by making tough decisions; and undertake “epic quests” by creating heroes and battling “classic Elder Scrolls foes.” Imagery of The Elder Scrolls: castlesShows Argonian, Khajiit and Argonian royalty overseeing their kingdoms. It is stated in the description of the shop that CastlesEarly access to the release is available.

Leaked information from the FTC Microsoft case revealed three unannounced games in Bethesda Softworks development. These projects had codenames Project Ubu, Project WandererThen, Project Whirlwind — and it’s possible that The Elder Scrolls: castlesWhirlwind, a skill in The Elder Scrolls series that is very popular, may have been the third name.

Bethesda Game Studios has previously tried to bring The Elder Scrolls franchise into a mobile environment with Blades, The Elder ScrollsA first-person role-playing action game.

The Elder Scrolls: castlesThe game appears to only be available for Android at the moment. The Fallout ShelterOriginally launched exclusively for iOS devices, it has since been ported to Android and Windows.
