Forza Motorsport is the Competitive Ground for Building Skill

We’re about to be at the starting line for a new era of Forza Motorsport, and today we’re excited to tell you more about our vision behind the game.

Over the past couple of weeks, we shared the first half hour of gameplay amongst media outlets and content creators. So keep your eyes peeled for their thoughts. And for those of you who can’t wait, we shared a video on Forza Monthly featuring some of the gameplay from the first hour of the game.

Build Skill through Competition

Forza has always focused on bringing together car enthusiasts and gamer to build a community. Forza Motorsport achieves this by focusing on competition and skills.

We have re-thought the meaning of Motorsport in Forza Motorsport. The game is massive, with more than 500 cars on 20 tracks and a dynamic 24-hour time of day with weather. Our team hand-picked these cars to ensure the best possible experience for both Builders’ Cup and Multiplayer.

This game isn’t about collecting all 500 cars. It’s about finding the ones that speak the most to you. In order to make the game more fun, we have created a loop of gameplay whereby you can learn and improve yourself by playing. The nuances and complexities of the stock cars are revealed in a new way since Forza Motorsports 1 to 4. The new physics brings out the differences in all these cars so you’re not just learning how to drive a car, but how to race it through traffic and pass your opponents.

Even if you are not familiar with motorsports or racing rules, the new gameplay systems we’ve built into Forza Motorsport like our Car Mastery corner scoring system, Forza Race Regulations and car building encourage natural learning and empower players to be successful and build their skill through competition.

We don’t need to teach you what a specific upgrade is because you’ll just feel it. The next time you create a car, it will be easier for you to understand and use the upgrades. You don’t need to know how to be faster – you will figure that out as you play. You’ll take corners differently as you experiment to find the fastest line. As you learn more about the vehicles and their systems, your ability to drive faster will increase. The game has all you need, so play around, experiment and have fun. You will learn so many things.

Forza Motorsport will continue to evolve as our community does. The platform will grow with the addition of new tracks, races and cars. The community can help us improve the experience by providing feedback.

We’ve also made many smaller improvements across the entire game that will help you build new skills and compete fairly. As an example, the clutch/power shift exploit has been removed and performance nerfs have been applied to ABS. Collidable objects like brake markers and cones will also now reset when they are hit so they aren’t left all over the track in online races.

A final note about why we rebuilt our existing tracks: As we were developing the new suspension and tire models, our cars often would porpoise, or rise and fall continuously, on our old tracks. It was impossible to use the existing track assets because of new physics. To accommodate the new physics, we had to completely rebuild all tracks in the game. After launch we will introduce new tracks as free updates, including the most accurate Nordschleife in spring 2024.

Intro Race Experience

You will be able to customize several settings the first time you launch Forza Motorsport. These include your driving assistance preferences, PC graphics options, and accessibility settings.

Opening races include an Open Practice Lap at Maple Valley in which you drive the new, all-new Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray 2024 and two endurance laps at Hakone with the beautiful 2023 No. The 01 Cadillac Racing V-Series.R.

Forza Motorsport is available anywhere. After the opening races, you can immediately jump into the modes you want to play, whether it’s the Builders Cup Career Mode, Featured Multiplayer, Free Play or Rivals.

We’ve curated the Builders Cup Intro Series to ease you into the game and get you ready to compete. The starter cars and tracks, along with the speed at which we introduce new mechanics such as Open Practice are all examples of this. The starter cars are the 2019 Subaru STI S209 and 2018 Honda Civic Type R. Also included is the 2018 Ford Mustang GT. You will need to choose carefully as you must build, race and level your vehicle on Grand Oak Club Circuits, Mugello Club Circuits and Kyalami GP Circuits.

Builders Cup Intro Series – Learn about our brand new building and car levelling system. Upgrade your car between each race with unlocked parts and tuning. The spider graph helps you better understand your vehicle’s balance. You can change the options before returning to the track. This includes Drivatar difficulties and racing rules, which affect damage settings, the rewind option and penalties.

You will choose your starting position for the Kyalami GP Featured Race before the event. Challenge the Grid represents our new reward-risk system. You’ll receive a different payout depending on your grid position, and a bonus for a podium result. The sunset of Open Practice will change to the dark, starry night sky during the Featured Race.

Completing Builders cup Intro series will unlock Practical Performance which is first stage in the Modern Tour. The Builders Cup awards trophies for every series completed. Additional credits will be awarded depending on the series’ placement.

Tours of Motorsport are part of the Builders Cup career mode. Modern Tour will introduce you to Super Sedans, Built for Sport cars; Enthusiast Tour to Track Specials and JDM Legends. Power Tour to drive Iconic Muscle Cars and face the C8 Challenge. Legacy Tour to go back to an era of retro tuners and exotic speed machines. These are just a few of the many themes you can expect at the Builders Cup.

In all series, you can take one car and customize it to your liking. At the end, each Tour that you successfully complete unlocks a unique reward car. Open Class Tour, featuring C-S Class Series will give players complete freedom to build their own car.

Career Mode includes a Featured Trip. This is where we will spotlight new cars and tracks added to Forza Motorsport, and it’s a great way to continue your single-player racing journey.
