Introducing the New Xbox Mastercard – A New Way to Earn More Value for Gaming

We know players are interested in getting more value from Xbox, and we’ve heard feedback from the community that they want more ways to get value from their purchases. Today, I’m excited to share that we are introducing the no annual fee1Xbox Mastercard is partnered with Barclays US Consumer Bank – a major cobranded card issuer in America. The Xbox Mastercard allows players to earn points on purchases that they can use towards games or add-ons. Xbox Insiders can get the Xbox Mastercard exclusively in the United States from September 21, and all Xbox players will receive it in 2024.
The Xbox Mastercard allows players to earn points on every dollar spent, including purchases such as:
- Xbox & Microsoft – Earn 5x card points on eligible products at the Microsoft Store.
- The Streaming Industry – Earn 3x card points on eligible streaming services like Netflix® and Disney+®.
- Dining Delivery Services – Earn 3x card points on eligible dining delivery services like Grubhub® and DoorDash®.
- All-day shopping – Earn 1x card points on all other everyday purchases.
Members will receive additional benefits, including:
- After their first purchase, they will receive a bonus of up to 5,000 points.
- After their initial purchase, new Game Pass subscribers will receive three months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. If they’re already a Game Pass member, they can easily gift it to a friend to play together.
- Choose from five different designs and personalize it using your gamertag.
- Flexible use of contactless payment and digital wallets
- Free online access to cardmembers’ FICO Credit Score, which allows users to keep an eye on their credit score and receive alerts when their score has changed.
- $0 Fraud Liability protection, so cardmembers are not responsible for charges they didn’t authorize.

How to Apply
If you’re an Xbox Insider with residence in the continental United States, Alaska, or Hawaii, you can apply starting on September 21. Xbox Insiders will receive the Xbox Mastercard in several waves throughout the fall.
