Hatsune Miku and Pokémon collaboration is a match made in heaven

An absolute icon has come to Pokémon. The Pokémon Company announced a new collaboration with Hatsune Miku on Monday. Called “Project Voltage,” the partnership includes art and music inspired by the singer and Pokémon franchise. Now that we’ve gotten to see some of the art, it shows that Hatsune Miku was always ready for battle.

This collaboration began on Monday. Each day since, The Pokémon Company releases artwork of Hatsune Miku imagining her as a different type of trainer. Six artists will draw all 18 different types of art. The program began on Monday with Miku as a psychic trainer. She’s pictured with Meloetta, the melody Pokémon, which forms a perfect match for the singer.

Below you can see the artwork. It’s fascinating to me to see the different ways each artist adapts their iconic twin pigtails style to suit each individual element.

You can view additional character artwork of Hatsune Miku’s special editions in addition to this art.

Hatsune Miku is known as a Vocaloid. Crypton Future Media released in 2007 the software for her voice. The company needed a mascot to market the software, and that’s how Hatsune Miku was created. Hatsune Miku has gained a greater global appeal in the past decade. It was originally planned to release a video game and a digital avatar of the character. perform at Coachella in 2020.

Now we get to see her as a Pokémon trainer, and I have to say, I’m dying to challenge her to a battle.
