Story Content Comes To Overwatch 2 This August

At today’s Xbox Showcase, Blizzard announced that Overwatch 2: Invasion, a huge update to Overwatch 2, is coming on August 10. Update will include the storyline that has been long awaited, as well as co-op and Flashpoint, a brand new game mode. See the entire trailer.

Overwatch 2’s original purpose was to bring this brand new content into the popular hero shooter. However, months passed without updates regarding story or multiplayer modes. Last month, the developers updated the community with the news that they wouldn’t be able to deliver the content initially planned, specifically the Hero mode with dedicated talent trees. Overwatch Invasion represents the first of what is left.

Overwatch 2 is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC.
