Watch this explosive sci-fi thriller before it leaves Netflix

Disney Plus and Hulu aren’t the only streaming services that are shedding content next week. The Wolf BrigadeNetflix is set to remove the film on May 23, 2013. It’s a shame, because this sci-fi action thriller political is among the top movies available on Netflix. However, it is the only way you can buy, rent or stream in the United States.

Shaken after witnessing the death of a suicide bomber, Joong-kyung attempts to grow closer to the bomber’s sister (Han Hyo-joo) in order to discern whether or not she too is working for her sister’s compatriots, and to assuage his own conscience. Joon-kyung finds himself in the middle of a political maelstrom, and must decide whether to stay with his girlfriend or leave the Wolf Brigade to seek a better future.

Unlike other live-action adaptations of beloved anime like 2017’s Ghost in the Shell or 2009’s Dragonball Evolution, The Wolf BrigadeIt is one of the rare adaptations which manages to live up to the standards set by its predecessors. The film is not quite as sad and nostalgic as Jin-Roh, Illang more than makes up for it with blisteringly intense firefights, pulse-pounding close-quarters action scenes, and exquisite practical effects and costume designs, especially in Brigade’s haunting gas mask-adorned armor suits. It’s less a film that supplants Okiura’s original as it is a companion piece to it, one that demonstrates the creative elasticity and enduring resonance of its source material.

The Wolf BrigadeOver 80 Netflix originals have since left the platform. Several of these are now on sale or available for digital purchase or rental through other streaming services. Other movies aren’t available anywhere to legally watch in the United States.
