Makasura Shrine Puzzle and an Upright Device Solution

The Makasura Shrine’s “The Upright Device” trial primarily makes you use the Ascend ability. Once you enter the shrine, you might immediately be stumped — the main chamber looks to simply be an empty room. But look up and you’ll see where you’re supposed to go.

1. Then, walk to the other end of the space and under the slight edge. You can use Ascent to get through the edge and onto the next level.

2. In the next room, you’ll find a grate attached to a Zonai device. You can move it near the edge and then use the Zonai to make it stand straight.

3. You can use the gliders to jump and clear the gaps into the new area.

4. Head straight and you’ll see another L-shaped grate. Grab the grate and move it along to the right-side wall. It will stand up when you hit the Zonai. Climb it with your glider and enter the restricted area.

5. The gated area contains three things: Zonai deviceA A grate that has a bowl on itThe. Ball. Attach the Zonai to the bowl end, opposite. You’ll want to Fuse it the same way it’s used previously in the shrine.

6. Grab the ball, and then move it to the bowl. Here’s what it looks like all together:

7. The ball will be shot into the opposite chamber when you hit the Zonai. Once the ball reaches the indentation in the chamber, the gate opposite the other chamber will open.

8. Before you leave this chamber, though, move the grate to the back side of the room, opposite the gate, where there’s a Treasure chestOn a ledge. To get the aforementioned, open the box. Fairy Tonic.

9. Once that’s done, move the grate back to the gated wall. You can climb the grate, jump and then use the glider to return into the first chamber.

10. In the room which opened, there is another grates with a small bowl. It is now ready to be brought into the chamber. Attach it in the same way to the other grate with the ledge.

11. Before climbing in the bowl, make sure that the Zonai is as near to the edge of the bowl as possible.

12. Use the bowl to make an ArrowZonai is activated by pressing the Zonai button. You’ll get launched into the air by your makeshift lever, then glide once you’re at the pinnacle of your leap to reach the opposite side of the gap.

13. The shrine is complete when you have completed the task by finding the sigil. Light of Blessing.
