The affordable BattleTech Essentials starter set is coming to Target
Target has the exclusive pre-order for BattleTech’s latest starter kit. Target is exclusively selling the $24.99 starter set. BattleTech EssentialsThe box contains everything needed to get started, making it an inexpensive way for you to enter the BattleTech series. Catalyst Game Labs is planning to deliver pre-orders and have the game available at Target on June 18, 2018.
Essentials includes pre-assembled BattleTech models, along with a reference card, a guide to getting started, a dice and a few other items to help you get up-to-speed on BattleTech.
It is important to note that the word “you” means “you”. BattleTech EssentialsThe new starter box from Catalyst Game Labs offers more choices for experienced players and beginners. You can also purchase the $25.99 starter kit if you require more material. BattleTech Beginner BoxIncludes two unpainted miniature BattleMechs. Also included are a 18×22 inch double-sided map of the game, dice, recording sheets and other goodies.
BattleTech: A Game of Armored CombatThe Inner Sphere Experience is a much more complete experience. It includes seven miniatures, a double-sided map measuring 18 by 22 inches, record sheets and pilot cards. There are also a lot of other extras that will help you get to know the Inner Sphere. You can get the core box for $59.99 but it is currently available at Amazon and Walmart.
The coolest part about these starter sets is that there’s very little overlap in terms of what’s in each box. Meaning you won’t end up with duplicate minis or reference cards if you decide to invest in other sets at a later date.
