A Standalone Version of Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered Will Hit PS5 This Month

PlayStation announced today that Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, a standalone game for the PlayStation 5, will be released later this month.

Prior to this, Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered could only be purchased by buying the Ultimate Edition Marvel’s Spider-Man Miles Morales. Marvel’s Spider-Man remastered will become available for everyone to download later in the month. The game will be available for purchase separately or, if the player already owns Marvel’s Spider-Man (or the Digital Deluxe Edition) or Game of the Year Edition on PlayStation 4, they can upgrade by paying $10.

The remaster’s most notable feature is the redesigned look of Peter Parker. It also features The City That Never Sleeps, starring Black Cat, as well as exclusive Spidey costumes, including those from Spider-Man No Way Home

Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered is still available to owners of Marvel’s Spider-Man Miles Morales by upgrading the PS5 game version’s main menu. The remastered version of the game will set you back $49.99 if you want to purchase it separately.

PlayStation confirms that the standalone version of this game and its upgrade path will arrive later in this month but does not say when.
