Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s best new character is Turgle — and art proves it

Few hours into the tour Star Wars Jedi: The SurvivorCal Kestis, the protagonist of this story, explores Koboh to find his former friend Greez. Greez is a four-armed Alien pilot. Fallen Order). Before Cal finds Greez, though, a frog-like alien gets thrown into his path — literally — by a group of angry raiders. Turgle is the name of that little alien, and I love it. I love Turgle, and so does everyone else on the internet.

[Ed. note: This article contains minor spoilers for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.]

Turgle rhymes with “turtle,” but again, he’s a frog. There isn’t much innovation here in terms of character design, and I must clarify: That’s not a complaint. Turgle is a frog who’s about 3 feet tall and walks on two legs, like a slightly taller version of Aogaeru from Spirited away. I’ll protect him no matter what.

Turgle makes it difficult to protect him. Turgle is known to be a little bit of a hassler and scammer, so it’s no wonder the raiders went after him. Turgle had sold them a “priceless relic” that turned out to be “fake” (although Turgle insists he had no idea). Some people might find his defensive voice and high-pitched tone annoying. Cal saves the little froggy despite his high-pitched voice and defensive tone.

From the moment that Turgle leaps joyfully out of harm’s way, watching from the sidelines as Cal Kestis delivers a lightsaber-assisted beatdown, he earns himself a permanent place in my heart. Is he more trouble than he’s worth? He has not learned anything from his experience, and he continues to engage in con artists and skulduggery. He’s a crook! Take a look at him.!
