Amazon Prime Gaming free games for May 2023 include Resident Evil 2

Amazon Prime members get access to four free games in May — including the remade Resident Evil 2From 2019 Lego DC Super-Villains. Those with an Amazon Luna Plus subscription will find five more games available to that library, as part of Amazon’s monthly, two-prong approach to all-you-can-eat video gaming.

Prime Gaming offers a number of freebies.

Lego games have been popular freeware for over a decade, mostly because they offer so many gameplay options and are always enjoyable. Capcom released four versions of the Resident Evil games, and they were all great. This is the most recent. Resident Evil 4This selection is timely, as the film was launched on 24 March. (Especially since Leon Kennedy made his acting debut in RE2).

Couch Co-op Favorite Overcooked The game was so popular that it spawned a sequel and a remastered version of the two games in 2018. Frog Island: A Day on the IslandThis is the latest of four games. Launched in July 2022, it’s a 3D top-down exploration/puzzle game that has received high scores from both gaming media and Steam users.

Sadly, this is not a game worth mentioning. While the Retro Classix series has indeed brought much loved titles from arcade gaming’s earliest days to modern hardware, the four here are among Data East’s lesser-known cabinets, spanning 1986 to 1992. Tormented SoulsThe game, which is a mystery-solving survival horror inspired by the Resident Evil series and Alone in the Dark, was launched in 2021. It has an excellent reputation with its Steam audience.

Amazon Luna Plus was launched in March of 2022. A monthly subscription is $9.99. The library has more than 100 available games.

Amazon Prime Gaming, which costs $14.99 per monthly subscription, is included in the Amazon Prime membership. The annual cost is $139. It also confers “Prime Status” on Twitch users, allowing them a free subscription to support a streamer each month.

Prime Gaming offers a ton of free content to Prime subscribers, a lot of it in-game content or “loot” for popular titles, some of it free games claimed with a code through third parties.
