With the Ideology extension, you’ll be able to tell better stories as you create and implement your very own belief system within your colony. Play as mole people who are tunnelers and shun light. Create a community of nature lovers. Become techno dance party ravers. Or live as rustic Elk Ranchers. Mix and match beliefs to build your ideal colony. You can customize anything, including individual precepts and rituals.
Now you can hold ceremonies to honor your many and many (oh so many) dead. Get your colonists all together and say goodbye to their partial remains. You might want to make a squirrel your god? (I mean, who wouldn’t?) Maybe you’d like to have a compassionate community, one that gives charity to others and cares for those in need? It is possible to express your true self through ideology. It’s a great idea! It’s possible to make your colonists all have beards. Or you can live out the childhood fantasy of having a purple-haired society. You can choose and adapt your own weapons, cultures, clothing, and tattoo preferences.
Ideology offers even more combat opportunities to you action lovers out there. Each belief system has a handful of special items that are relics. Send out your colonists on a multi-part mission to collect and find the relics you hold dear. You may need to send your colonists on a multi-part quest to find and collect the relics that you believe in. They might have to battle sleeping mechanoids or swashbuckling Pirates, fight threatening insects for a skull, or carefully navigate past unstable fuel storage to get a sacred armor. You will be taken through ancient ruins or spacedrones that you have to decode in order to get valuable information.
It’s possible to find an idolized terminal quest in a tribe village. You will need to enter the terminal in a peaceful manner and make your escape. You can choose how you want to deal with these situations. Return triumphantly to your base, and place your ancient relic you have worked so hard for in a reliquary. You can use any relics you claim to convert others to your faith and attract passing pilgrims.
New creatures are here! RimWorld! In this expansion you may come across an unusual type of tree that grows near your base. Gauranlen trees are grandiose and tall, but they also contain a queen that is not conscious. Dryads, which are creatures born from the queen’s womb, guard and care for the tree. The tree feeds them in return. Dryads can help you in your colony building so don’t ignore them! You can use them to increase your ability to haul items, make more medicine, and grow more berries.
You can have one of your colonies form a bond with the Gauranlen trees and be able to partially control their dryads. Your colonists can influence dryads and connect more easily with Gauranlens if they venerate trees. This tree-connector can eventually build a whole economy, and even an army with its Gauranlen orchard.

The Ideology Expansion gives each player a set of beliefs. All of it is customisable. The epic endgame of archonexus allows you to build temples that will blow your mind, perform unforgettable rituals and hunt for the relics associated with your faith system. You can also seek the transcendence beyond the realms of reality by completing the game’s new, epic, ending. RimWorld Console Edition’s Ideology Expansion offers new experiences.
MEMES
Each belief system is built on a foundation of 4 to 5 core memes. These memes represent the core ideas in each belief system. Combining memes, and altering the way they’re expressed can lead to an infinite number of belief systems.
PRECESSIONS
Depending on the meme, there can be a number of precepts. Precepts are a set of rules or guidelines that influence a certain behavior or preference. Every belief system has an attitude towards slavery – some find the practice abhorrent, while others accept and even demand slaves as part of their beliefs. The same meme won’t always imply the same precepts – if you want fine control, you can edit and randomize precepts exactly the way you like.
CONVERSION
You can also convert other people to a new belief. Your moral guide can use his special abilities to help you convert the prisoners. Many people are also willing to spontaneously attempt to convert their neighbors.
ROLES SPECIALS
Make use of your favourite colonists’ strengths and skills by assigning them formal social roles. Each religion has its own set of roles.
RITUALS
Each belief system is defined by a unique collection of rituals. The player-controlled gatherings can have different effects depending on the way they’re carried out.
GAURANLEN TREE
The Gauranlen Tree, a unique tree species that grows near your colony will sometimes sprout. They are symbiotic with small dryads.
ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS
It also introduces new quests including relic hunters, complex ancient loot, new temporary encampments and helping groups beggars.
NEW BUILDINGS
Belief systems unlock new buildings. Many of these buildings are designed to facilitate rituals. Certain new constructibles with specific purposes are also unlocked by belief systems.
Styles
Different aesthetic styles are associated with each belief system. Styles affect how many things look – rituals, furniture, floors, apparel, and art. Some colonists may not like the style of another belief, while others will love it.
ARCHONEXUS: ENDGAME
As your colony grows wealthy, you’ll have the opportunity to sell the whole thing and start anew with your favorite colonists and animals. In return, you’ll receive a piece of a map that leads to the archonexus – a conduit through which an ancient machine superintelligence is said to affect the physical world.
