Overwatch 2 Reveals Lifeweaver As Newest Support Hero

Overwatch 2 launched last October and has since added Ramattra to the roster as an extra post-launch hero, along with new maps, cosmetics and other features. The fourth season, which begins next week, introduces the Lifeweaver support character, the next postlaunch hero. Blizzard revealed a lot of details regarding Lifeweaver, a nature-loving character in advance of his release.

Lifeweaver is a Thai-based Overwatch player who uses biolight technology to enhance his skills. The new mechanics in his kit are a result. The first is Healing Blossom. This allows him to charge a brightly lit flower and send it off to others. He charges the flower for longer periods of time to grant the recipient more healing. Lifeweaver can also use Thorn Valley as a secondary fire source. He blasts biolight-thorns in an scattered pattern and damages enemies.

Petal Platform, his secondary fire ability, is named. With this ability, he can spawn a flower platform that lifts anyone stepping on it – friend or foe – into the air. Because it can be used to alter the locations of all players, the development team considers this ability similar to Mei’s Ice Wall. The ability to dash across the battlefield using Rejuvenating Dash is also available to Lifeweaver, which is similar in concept and effect to Hanzo’s dash.

Lifeweaver can use his Life Grip ability to protect and pull other players towards him. This ability allows you to pull your allies away from danger, which is how the Blizzard team views it. Lifeweaver’s Ult, Tree of Life is a huge tree that gives him cover and healing energy.

Below is the trailer that shows Lifeweaver’s action.

Overwatch 2 launched on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S (PS5), PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on October 4, 20,22. The community has been squabbling over the live-service free-to-play elements. While the first weeks were enjoyable, we are not sure we will be able to play Overwatch 2. Although Blizzard attempted to make certain elements more user-friendly, they are still controversial.

Lifeweaver will join the fight with Season 4 starting April 11.
