Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League Video Reveals New Gameplay, Confirms Battle Pass And Post-Launch Content

Today’s State of Play concluded with an in-depth look at Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League by Rocksteady Games. Set five years after Batman: Arkham Knight, the adventure centers on the villains turned government-mandated saviors trying to stop a global invasion by Brainiac, who has hijacked the minds of Earth’s greatest heroes.

Metropolis serves as the game’s sandbox, and the adventure can be enjoyed alone or with up to three other friends in co-op. The video presentation highlights each Squad member’s traits. Harley Quinn, who uses a grappling hook and can swing over buildings with ease, is the most skilled. Deadshot can fly and hover using a jetpack, while simultaneously using different assault weapons to kill foes. The brute power of King Shark is matched by Captain Boomerang’s speed force gauntlet, which allows him to zip past enemies quickly.

Every character can use a range of customized firearms to shoot in third person. Each attachment, including scopes, is customizable. Different weapon manufacturers are available, such as Borderlands. Players can outfit the Squad with various gear pieces and outfits, and some grant the attributes of other bad guys such as Bane. The moment-to-moment action features plenty of superpowered leaping, swinging, and teleporting around the city while unloading gunfire; it’s not that dissimilar to Crackdown in terms of its absurdity.

Demo shows Lex Luthor being held hostage by Flash, a brainwashed Flash. Wonder Woman is seen making a brief appearance, as well as the fact that Penguin will also be participating. The Squad will also be supported by other supervillains. Toy Man upgrades the team’s gear while Gizmo works on their vehicles.

Rocksteady also confirmed that the battle pass would only include cosmetic items. The game will also have new content post launch. This includes playable characters, missions and more.

The Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is available for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on May 26, as well as PC.
