The Samba De Amigo Series Is Making A Comeback

Nintendo announced a new Samba de Amigo game today during its most recent Direct live stream. This summer, Samba De Amigo Party Central will release.

Party Central will feature 40 songs “from across the world’s most popular music genres.” Joy-Con controllers are connected to the Nintendo Switch and allow players to move in tune with the beat. You can also play the game online or locally competitively, and you’ll have party mode.

Check out the trailer for the unveiling below.

Samba de Amigo: Party Central is actually a sequel to the first Samba de Amigo, developed by Sonic Team and first released on the Sega Dreamcast in 1999. It’s since been ported to the Wii (though it wasn’t very good) and had a long life in arcades.
