Hitman 3 Becomes ‘Hitman World Of Assassination,’ Includes Access To 1 And 2

IO Interactive announced today that Hitman 3 would be Hitman World of Assassination. It will feature all Hitman 1 levels and Hitman 2 characters. 

More specifically, this big update for the Hitman trilogy arrives on January 26 and includes two major changes: 

• Hitman 3 will be renamed “Hitman World of Assassination”, which will include Hitman 1 and Hitman 2 via our Access Pass system. Hitman 3 players will be eligible for a free upgrade on Hitman World of Assassination across all platforms.
• We’re simplifying the purchasing process for all new players. Hitman World of Assassination will be your only option for starting playing. 

The update will make it possible for all Hitman 3 owners to have the same content ownership. It also attempts to remove confusion about which edition is best to purchase to gain certain levels. Other DLC may still be purchased, however it will now be much easier to own all three levels of the IO Interactive Hitman Trilogy. 

Hitman World of AssassinationThe Hitman 3 Game of the Year Access Pass and Hitman 1 Standard Access Pass will both cost $70. The Hitman 2 Standard Access Pass can be purchased as well. Hitman World of Assassination Deluxe PackFor $30, you can get the Hitman 3 Deluxe Pack as well the Hitman 3 Seven Deadly Sins Collection and the Hitman 2 Expansion Access Pass. 

In a blog posting, IO states that these are the two only products new Hitman players should consider when purchasing any Hitman digital game. These changes were made to the Freelancer gamemode, which allows players to quickly access locations across the World of Assassination.
