Halo behind-the-scenes footage teases a secret puppet-filled show

It may feel like forever ago, but it’s worth remembering: 2022 was the year Halo became real. Master Chief was real. He was a sex-sipper. He got out of the confines video game lore. Thank you, all HaloThe Paramount Plus series was not as we had hoped, but it often turned out to be better than we thought.

One thing we particularly loved: The show’s depiction of the alien Covenant races. Actually, Halo arguably didn’t feature enough of them — they were weird, they set the show apart, and if you take the time to look at how they were made, Halo’s crew really put in some impressive work to bring them to life, as behind-the-scenes footage reveals.

The alien puppets that were used for production look amazing and, to my dismay, are good enough to be used without any computer animation. Paramount Plus has a special clip that shows how the alien puppets look.
