Wanderful Is A ‘Cozy-Builder’ That Looks As Fun As It Does Cute
Tiny Roar, the developer, and Daedalic Entertainment published Wanderful. It looks charming and relaxed.
Tiny Roar described the game as “soothing, zany building-and exploration game” that allows you to place tiles to create a world. This will allow your characters to discover small adventure and large surprises. You can make your “unique story-multiverse” by using these tiles at your leisure. You can play loose and fast, or you can play strategically by arranging each tile so that your story plans go off without a hitch.
Below, check out the Wanderful trailer:
A press release states that Tiny Roar “is committed to finding new ways to tell stories via gameplay mechanics, the interaction with world and its inhabitants.” Wanderful can be described as a book that is full of stories waiting to be written. You create an adventure for your little ones by placing every tile. This cozy building allows you to create your story and shape the experiences of your children tile-by-tile.
Wanderful is a great way to relax and slow down. Sessions last anywhere from five to thirty minutes. You can create a story-multiverse of your choice at your own speed. Play creatively or strategically. Or race to the finish line and beat your high scores. Thanks to the many unlockable biomes, tiles and wonders, no two sessions will be the same— whether you want to build a peaceful village or a secret laboratory in the midst of a desert.”
This is an overview of Wanderful’s main features, taken straight from Tiny Roar:
- Make a world of little adventures that has big surprises.
- You can relax and have a good time.
- Session lengths between 5-30 minutes
- Play strategically, or simply build your dream world.
- Each run should be a challenge to your adventure score
- There are many unlockable biomes and tiles, as well as wonders.
- You can influence the music with tiles that you place
- Flexible Camera system allows you to see the world from a different perspective
Its art style intrigued me, but the ability to change the sound of the game by placing tiles makes me want to play it when Steam Early Access is available. As for when, that remains unknown, and while the game’s preview period will be on Steam, Tiny Roar says the finished 1.0 version will come to all platforms.
