Apex Legends’ new hero Catalyst’s abilities revealed in gameplay trailer

This is the new hero Apex Legends Catalyst was introduced to fans in trailers. This is just a small part of season 15 and it’s a great way for everyone to get ready. Eclipse. Respawn Entertainment presented a detailed look of Catalyst’s abilities.

Catalyst’s passive ability is Barricade, which allows her to reinforce doorways (a maximum of two at a time) so that adversaries must destroy the entire door to pass through, while teammates are still free to pass without removing the reinforcement.

The name of her tactical skill is Piercing Spikes. It kinda means the same thing as what the title says (as well the video). Catalyst creates a pool with ferrofluid that then becomes a field full of spikes. However, opponents can still traverse the field at their own risk.

Finally, there is Dark Veil, Catalyst’s Ultimate, which was shown Monday in EclipsE’s Overall gameplay reveal. Dark Veil raises a curtain of ferrofluid that shrouds any attempt to scan what’s beyond it (hi there, Seer). It can be pushed or shot through by enemies, but it will blind them and slow down, rendering them vulnerable once they do.

Catalyst is now available, along with Broken Moon’s new map, and new gifting features (to reward adversaries as well as teammates for good matches). Apex Legends season 15 on Nov. 1, on all platforms — Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
