Silent Hill’s Future Will Be Revealed In A Presentation Today

Silent Hill’s future has been the subject of numerous rumors over the last couple of years, and it appears we’re finally getting a clear answer on what’s next. This week, Konami will broadcast a Silent Hill Transmission.

This event will air Wednesday, October 19, at 2 p.m. Pacific/ 5 p.m. Eastern. A tweet only states the presentation will feature “the latest updates for the Silent Hill series.” Although the tweet contains a link to a Silent Hill website that provides more information, it doesn’t provide any further details. 

Konami is said to have multiple Silent Hill projects at several studios. A rumor that was confirmed recently by Silent Hill movie director Christopher Gans. The Bloober Team creators of Layers of Fear (The Medium), is the one who is most stubborn. It is currently remaking Silent Hill 2. It was revealed that Silent Hill:The Short Message, a title released in September had been rated by South Korea. 

The last full-fledged Silent Hill game was 2012’s ill-recieved Book of Memories for PS Vita. You can also play the teaser trailer for Hideo Kojima’s Silent Hills canceled game, P.T. 

For years, Silent Hill fans have had to settle for rumor and innuendo in regards to what’s next for the series, so hopefully, Wednesday’s presentation rewards that patience with some exciting announcements.
