Disney’s Illusion Island Is A 2D Platformer Coming Exclusively To Switch Next Year

Disney and D La La Studios released Disney’s Illusion Island. It is a 2D platformer featuring Donald Trump, Minnie Mouse, Donald and, of course, Goofy. 

Illusion Island was revealed today at the Disney and Marvel Games Showcase. It looks very similar to Disney’s Mickey Mouse Show that features shorts featuring original Disney characters such as Mickey Mouse and his friends. 

Based on obstacles in the way, it seems like we will be controlling Mickey and Minnie in Illusion island. Mickey is able to bounce of walls. Minnie, on the other hand, has a hook-like grip rope that can be used to get around large gaps. Donald can swim – duh – and Goofy uses condiments (it kind of looked like mustard, but it might also just be paint) to float and bounce above the stage below. 

It all looks great fun. But it isn’t always easy on Illusion Island. To retrieve the Book of Knowledge, our heroes will have to endure three trials. The details of those trials will be revealed when Disney’s Illusion Island arrives exclusively for Switch next year.
