Big Chungus may join MultiVersus roster

One of 2016’s best memes may be coming back to kick your ass in one of 2022’s best games.

Warner Bros. filed an EUIPO trademark application for Big Chungus to be used in a variety of products and services. Big Chungus was, according to your grandparents, the name of an internet meme that featured a large Bugs Bunny. It became very popular back on the World Wide Web in 2016.

Andrew Marmo, a VGC contributor first spotted it on Twitter, the filing doesn’t mention Warner Bros. intended plans for Big Chungus — he previously appeared in a mobile gacha game — but given the success of the free-to-play fighter MultiVersusThis would be a solid first move.

Again, it’s not CertainWhere the Big Bun will go MultiVersus, but it’s not a bad idea to start thinking of team composition — maybe he’d pair well with Arya Stark or Morty. That last guy’s pretty much a meme anyway.
