MultiVersus season 1 patch notes

The first season of the new season has been released after a delay in January. MultiVersusIt’s here and it brings major updates to the platform fighter. Season 1 will include at least four new characters and balance improvements. The new, bimonthly-free-to-play character rotation is also initiated by this update.

Two parts will make up the season 1 patch. First, the patch will be available Monday afternoon. The second part should arrive within about a week. Scroll down for a list of all patch notes, including the ones that are applicable to this round.

Morty and More

Morty Rick and MortyWill be MultiVersus This will be the debut appearance of the new character. He’ll join the ranks of Batman and LeBron James as the game’s newest brawler. Sometime before the end of season 1, MultiVersus Rick will be also able to get him (also from). Rick and MortyBlack Adam Comics. Stripe Comics. Gremlins.

New free-to-play rotation

MultiVersus It is free-to-play and requires players to purchase real currency or make in-game purchases to unlock the characters. Player First Games provides temporary access to an unlimited number of characters that are free to play on a weekly basis. The first season of the free roster will see players have access to Arya and Batman as well as LeBron James and Steven Universe.

Season pass missions for better results

MultiVersusA battle pass is a collection of cosmetics that players can use to increase their level and unlock new missions. Player First Games is making some improvements to the season 1. The only mission that is class-based (i.e. get a set amount of wins using a mage characters) has been removed from the daily rotation. Tank characters are exempted from this exception, as all players have permanent access via the tutorial to Wonder Woman.

Although less important on a daily basis, Player First Games also has significantly reduced the need for many seasonal missions.

Changes in balance

After a few weeks in pre-season, Player First Games has made significant changes to many of the characters, reigning in those that have proven too powerful in players’ hands while buffing those that are underperforming.

Each of the game’s characters 17 has seen some kind of change with Monday’s patch. Superman, Velma, Bugs Bunny and Superman were all given nerfs while the weaker characters, Arya or Taz, received mostly buffs. The patch notes (which you can read in their entirety below) make following along with your favorite character’s changes easy by using specific symbols (+,-,~) for nerfs, buffs, and neutral changes.
