Nier: Automata Player Discovers Secret Room Leaving Dataminers Baffled

Automata, my favourite game ever, is renowned for its unusual narrative and quirky characters. Years after seeing the action JRPG’s numerous endings and earning the platinum trophy, I never expected to miss out on so many well-kept mysteries. Automata players discovered a room hidden from the rest of us, which left hardcore dataminers confused and exasperated.

Reddit user sadfutago uploaded random photos (thanks!). Eurogamer!(The tweet below shows them running past the Copied City droids and interfacing with a small section of the back wall. Sadfutago is able to slide down a ladder, and then he can whizz through the distorted passageways. Let me let you know what it is.  It’s easy to overlook the important things and just have fun looking around. The community still finds it shocking that this of such nature has remained secret for so many years.

Famed dataminer Lance McDonald – you might remember them as the player who unearthed Automata’s best-kept secret – spoke for everyone when they said, “So far no one else has worked out how [sadfutago]It was possible to open this door. This room has been accessed by only one person, and it is truly mind-blowing. McDonalds said it was impossible to modify the game in that way and refuted the claims made by a lot of naysayers.

Is this an area Platinum Games intended, or is it a ruse designed and implemented by players? Let us know your thoughts! Please share your opinions with us in the comments section below.
