Warframe fans get early look at Duviri Paradox expansion at TennoCon 2022

TennoCon celebrates all things Warframe, Digital Extremes showcases new content for the sci-fi video game. At this weekend’s TennoCon, fans got a glimpse at two major updates, as well as a sneak peek at an upcoming Warframe and the reveal of a new, upgraded take on an existing Warframe in Khora Prime.

The first update is a surprise: It’s called Veilbreaker It will also bring back an old fan favorite character. Kahl-175, a Grineer Lancer who appeared as a playable role during The New War’s climatic quest The New War and helped in the war against Sentients. VeilbreakerKhal takes on the role as a revolutionary and wage war against the Narmer and their brainwashed followers. There will also be a weekly quest where the player can tackle The New War’s Archons alongside Kahl’s campaign.

TennoCon 2019, the second expansion, revealed this year. The Duviri Paradox. It is intended to be accessible by new players. He escapes and finds a horse and starts exploring this strange and alien world.

Warframe creative director Rebecca Ford described The Duviri Paradox as “a welcomed departure” for developer Digital Extremes. “It’s completely different from anything we’ve ever designed in Warframe from gameplay style to color palette and underlying themes…” Ford said in a news release, hinting that colors are “a very important thematic element in this expansion” and its narrative.

Digital Extremes has also released two Warframes. Styanax is a Spartan-inspired warrior who wields a spear and shield. Joe Madureira designed the second Warframe, and it incorporates lycan themes.
