Spy x Family episode 6: Anya punched a bully and inspired memes

It’s no secret that Anya Forger is the undisputed starlet of Spy x Family. They are a charming comedy-action series that follows the Forgers. From the outside they appear like every other family. In reality they all have their secrets: Anya Forger is the daughter of a Telepath and can read minds. Yor Forger is the mother; Loid Forger is the spy. the latest episode, Anya punches her elementary school bully — and the moment has inspired a wave of hilarious memes and fan art that make light of the moment.

In Spy x FamilyLoid is currently on an extremely secret mission, Operation Strix. In order to keep peace between Ostania and Westalis nations, Loid must make contact with Donovan Desmond the head of the National Political Party. In Loid’s plan, he creates a fake family and adopts Anya to send her to the ultra-elite Eden Academy in an effort to get closer to the Desmond family, who has close ties with the school.

In the latest episode, “The Friendship Scheme,” Anya finally has her first day of school. This spunky, young girl is up against a lot. She was raised in an orphanage before she attended this elite school. Anya is nervous about going to school and asks her mother, a combat veteran to show her how to fight. Loid insinuates that Anya will be placed into the same school as Damian Desmond who is his target’s son. Damian and his goons make anya feel like a pauper for coming from an impoverished family, just a few days into school’s first day.

At first, Anya holds back. But after they throw a crumpled piece of paper at her in the hall and Damian says he’s going to bully her every day, Anya lands a top-tier punch strong enough to make Saitama proud.

She really knows how to throw a punch, and people are absolutely living for it, making memes that riff on the moment from the latest episode as well as Anya and Damian’s relationship. An edited clip has been viewed more than four million times via TikTok. It shows Anya getting hit with crumpled paper and Damian being punched.

Anya’s expressions alone carry the show. And on this episode, she debuted her “heh” face, which inspired loads of fan art.

This one is a reference to an old meme that makes a joke about a WikiHow article, “How to Increase Your Social Status at School,” and just shows Anya doing an assertive T-pose over Damian.
