Fortnite: New Coachella Collaboration Brings Music, Cosmetics, And More Starting Today

Epic Games announces that Coachella 2022 will come to Fortnite. 

Epic Games released the following news: Coachella-inspired cosmetics, loading screens, and music will all be coming to Fortnite today. The Fortnite Icon Radio will also feature artists performing on Coachella’s stages. This collaboration will continue through May 16th, starting today (April 14th) 

“The sound (and fashion!) of the Coachella music and arts festival come to Fortnite,” the press release reads. “From now ‘til May 16, turn to Icon Radio in your Joyride vehicle for a line-up of artists featured in Coachella 2022. And just as the festival lasts two weekends, this weekend and the next will see the drop of new Coachella-themed items in the Item Shop.” 

Icon Radio will feature songs by more than 30 artists who performed at Coachella in 2017. You can listen to Icon Radio while driving in Fortnite.

If you’re looking for something cosmetic, the first drop happens later today at 8 p.m. ET. The Wilder and Lyric Outfits are included in this wave, as well as matching accessories. 

“Speaking of wave, the matching accessories for the Wilder Outfit are the shark-based Finfin Back Bling (included with the Outfit), Neon Biter Pickaxe, and the Finfin Flair Wrap,” according to Epic Games. “The Wilder Outfit comes with the Cosmic Equalizer alt Style, which is reactive to music. The Lyric Outfit allows you to go C-sharp using the cactus Swaguaro Back Bling, which is included with the Outfit. You can also add strings using the electric Festival Shredder pickaxe. Both are reactive to music. As with the Wilder Outfit the Lyric Outfit includes the reactive Cosmic Equalizer Alt Style. The Wilder Outfit (and Finfin Back Bling), Lyric Outfit (and Swaguarao Back Bling), Neon Biter Pickaxe, Festival Shredder Pickaxe, and Finfin Flair Wrap are available individually or together in the Rocking at Coachella Bundle.” 

 

Next Thursday, April 21st at 8 PM ET will see the second wave of cosmetic products. ET. This includes both the Alto and Poet Outfits. They are each responsive to music and come with matching accessories.

You can purchase the Dancing at Coachella Bundle separately or in combination with any of the following: The Alto Outfit and Sonic Vibes Back Bling, Poet Outfit, Cactical Crusher Pickaxe, Softest Electropalm Pickaxe, Mainstage Wrap, and Cosmonautic Helmet Back Bling.
