We wanted players to have a pleasant experience. An Musical StoryYou can also play music to advance your story. Both the gameplay and story are therefore intimately linked. The choice of the route is another example of this sense of progress. Gabriel, his musicians and friends embarked on a journey together to realize a dream.

Our goal was to create a film that combines excitement and adventure, like Into The Wild. So you’ll travel over many places and meet charming, deeply human characters.

A Musical Story was set in the 70s which provides a great playground for our creators. The style and appearance of the characters, as well as our van and other everyday items, are very representative of that time period. It has been a unique artistic journey.

The characters stand out from the sets thanks to very particular chiaroscuro techniques, the image constantly vibrates, giving it a unique grain and warmth, and Gabriel’s inner demons are symbolized by crows reminiscent of those of Disney’s Silly Symphony cartoons.

The creativity and innovation of the 1970s were a great inspiration musically. Bands like Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, and many others, had such great creative freedom that composing the music for the game was a constant pleasure for us, a kind of musician’s dream.

Listening to music attentively will reveal that every character has its own intonations and timbres. Sometimes, even musical themes. These can vary depending on the scene’s emotions. This helps the player connect more closely to their characters and stories.

The creation of the game’s music, gameplay and artistic direction took a lot of time. Now it’s up to you to discover Gabriel’s story, and we hope it excites you as much as it excited us when we created it.
