LIVING CITY
AI is to be defeated
- Numerous fixes and enhancements to NPC melee combat AI and responses, such as taking cover, positioning and reloading weapons and equipping them with dodging and blocking, and other actions.
- Many improvements were made to the hit reactions, death animations, and dismemberment triggers. This will make it easier to use melee or ranged combat.
- Blocking and evading attacks (Kerenzikov), is now easier for enemies. A heavier weapon is more difficult to hit. Evading is the exact opposite.
- Diversification in melee and ranged combat behavior for various factions: aggressive, reckless, defensive, and cautious.
- If they are punished enough, followers can now be disqualified temporarily and their combat contribution is increased.
- There are many fixes and balance modifications that can be made to the netrunner fight.
Crowd improvements
- Aggressive crowd behaviour: Certain NPC archetypes are capable of entering combat with players when they’re provoked to aim, shoot or fight. Because of technical limitations, this feature isn’t available for the older consoles.
- Temporary skips can affect NPCs’ state, and also reset their state, certain environments, or scenes.
- Improved crowd reactions and pathfinding.
Driving Model
- The all-new Burn Out Mode has arrived! To engage the Burn Out Mode, hold gas and brake. Turn to turn. While the original system allowed rotation on-the-spot, modulating inputs can help you do more! You can do drag racing style launches with High Grip boosts by using brake stands, drifts, or donuts. To cause excessive steering on many cars, you can use the system at faster speeds. Users of keyboards can choose to use the new Secondary bindings. (Some keyboards disregard the third keypress when only using WASD), however gamepads give you the best control and experience.
- A new Braking system provides consistent performance from the front to the rear at all speeds. ABS simulation now available. All brakes on the vehicle have been adjusted to match the model.
- Simulation of engine has been improved. Clutch simulation improved. These modifications improve the resistance force of the engine during shifting and help to eliminate unwanted wheel spin events.
- Improved gearbox simulation Improved downshifting performance. Transmission can now downshift more realistically and uses smarter shift logic in order to maintain the engine’s sweet spot. Forward <-> Reverse shifting has been totally redone, allowing for J-Turns / Rockfords.
- Motorcycles improved. They are now more stable thanks to all of these improvements. The steering model has been upgraded and the tuning of them is correct.
- Many cars have had tune improvements. Quadra Type-66 (all models, especially Avenger), Mizutani Shion (especially MZ2), Herrera Outlaw (major pass) & base MaiMai all had steering improvements implemented and more.
- All vehicles who required it, added adjustments for first-person view. CrystalDome technology allows Nomad vehicles to digitally remove objects that might obscure view.
Traffic by Vehicles
- Turning and suspension are visual improvements to traffic flow.
- Traffic can now drive in panic to avoid danger by using the panic reaction to danger. Car crashes can cause death for NPC passengers.

All equipped mods have now been returned to their inventory. You can re-equip mods according to new rules by going to the Inventory screen.
- The “Easy” game difficulty is now moderately more challenging.
- Two new stats have been introduced to replace Evasion, Mitigation Chance (and Mitigation Strength). How often the player can reduce damage incoming is measured by Mitigation chance. By default, mitigation strength determines how much damage can be reduced (default: 50%).
- Now, components that were used to improve Evasion have a negative effect on Mitigation. Reflexes attributes, such as Mongoose or Vanishing Point, Human Shield or some clothing mods, can now affect Mitigation.
- You can reduce the primary damage effects of Burning or Bleeding by using Rebalanced Damage over Time.
- Reduced chance to disrupt trajectory of smart bullets by Tyger Claws’ Glowing Tattoos ability.
- This is a more peaceful way to get away from the NCPD’s heat. V has the option to stay within the searched area and hide, rather than fleeing from the crime scene. However, it may take the police longer to find him.
Cyberware
- It’s now possible to sell unused cyberware at a Ripperdoc.
