7 Wonders’ newest board game expansion, Edifice, goes up for preorder

7 WondersIt is one of most popular board games in the past decade. This new addition shows how an old game can be adapted to new ways. You can find it here. 7 Wonders: EdificePlayers will work together to build great projects, while also competing in other areas of the game.

“7 Wonders: EdificeThis is the easiest expansion. 7 Wonders,” Asmodee and Repos Production said in a joint news release, “introducing a new form of player interaction without adding complexity or playtime.”

This expansion appears to be an evolution from one of the two game variations in 7 Wonders: BabelThere are many ways that players can collaborate in the Great Project.

“Edifices add a strategic layer to 7 Wonders without extending the game’s length,” the news news release reads. “For each Edifice, players must weigh the benefits and consequences of working with the other players. Either join opponents to complete these community projects or focus your resources on your own glory and ignore the construction. If players complete an Edifice, they earn rewards, while those who chose to work alone will miss out on end-of-age benefits.”
