007’s Road to a Million is a new James Bond-esque game show

007’s Road to a MillionVariety has a story about a new game series coming to Amazon Prime Video.

Eight episodes will run the series. It features a range of two-person teams participating in James Bond-style events that cost $1.3 million in the UK. The series will feature eight episodes and features contestants who are subject to endurance and intelligence tests similar to those used in James Bond.The Amazing Race. 007’s Road to a Million, however, will take the contestants to some famous locations from Bond’s adventures around the world.

The show has been kicking around at Amazon for nearly four years and will come from Britain’s 72 Films (Tottenham Hotspur: It’s all or nothing). The show also features James Bond franchise stewards Barbara Broccoli (producer) and Michael G. Wilson (producer). It is completely independent from MGM’s recent acquisition of James Bond parent company Amazon for $8.45 Billion last year.

007’s Road to a MillionThe show is in the process of casting, and it will be fully produced later in 2014. It’s unclear when the new show will debut on Prime Video.
