First Teaser For 2K’s New Golf Game Showcases One Of The Most Iconic Holes In Golf

After 2K Sports picked up the rights to the PGA Tour in 2018, the corporate has now re-branded its golf series and shared the primary teaser trailer for subsequent installment.

The franchise will now be referred to as PGA Tour 2K, transitioning faraway from 2019’s game, which was called The Golf Club 2019 Featuring the PGA Tour. The new name is easier and matches up better with 2K’s other sports game offerings, including NBA 2K and WWE 2K.

PGA Tour 2K21 is going to be fully revealed on May 14, but 2K posted a teaser trailer to urge things started. The trailer showcases the long-lasting Par 3 17th hole at the TPC Sawgrass course in Florida, which is that the site of The Players Championship.

This was the ultimate PGA Tour tournament to be played before the COVID-19 pandemic. In fact, the tournament was canceled mid-event, with just one round of play happening. The PGA Tour has announced plans to resume its tournaments beginning in June.

PGA Tour 2K21 is developed by HB Studios, which is that the same developer that made The Golf Club series. there’s no word yet on an inventory of supported platforms or a release date.

The PGA Tour’s license with 2K appears to be non-exclusive, as EA–which wont to publish the Tiger Woods PGA Tour series–maintains that it continues to possess a relationship with the tour. Intriguingly, EA recently said it’ll revive one among its dormant sports game series, but immediately, UFC seems more likely than PGA Tour.
