Tom Holland’s Uncharted gets new trailer, complete with Spider-Man swinging
It Uncharted The movie is almost as old as the Uncharted series. A favorite project of Avi Arad (Spider-Man producer), Uncharted Has cycled through director and actor in search of the ultimate treasure. A combination that could make the Naughty dog series cinematic viable on the big-screen. This combination was not available for almost a decade. Arad and his crew finally landed. Venom Ruben Fleischer as director and Tom Holland playing Baby Nathan Drake. This all comes back to Spider-Man.
Now, finally, miraculously, Uncharted is set for release in February, and there’s a new trailer — hot on the heels of Holland’s mega-success, Spider-Man has no way home — It is hard to deny. New film review checks all boxes. Artifacts are included, as well as talks about legends, places of honor, and seedy explorers sharing their secrets. I don’t know if “an adventure 500 years in the making” is a meta joke about the film’s development, but I laughed.
Here’s the official synopsis:
Street-smart thief Nathan Drake (Tom Holland) is recruited by seasoned treasure hunter Victor “Sully” Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg) to recover a fortune lost by Ferdinand Magellan 500 years ago. The duo’s first job is a heist job. But it soon becomes an international race of white-knuckle heists to find the treasure before Moncada (Antonio Banderas), a vicious tyrant who claims he and his relatives are the true heirs. If Nate and Sully can decipher the clues and solve one of the world’s oldest mysteries, they stand to find $5 billion in treasure and perhaps even Nate’s long-lost brother…but only if they can learn to work together.
What will the long haul bring? Uncharted Worth the effort? Fans of the games and Holland’s rugged-boy vibe will find out when the movie arrives exclusively in theaters on Feb. 18, 2022.
