KartRider: Drift Returns to the Tracks This December with New Closed Beta Event

All Racers It’s been a long time since our last closed beta, but we’re just about ready to roll with the latest version of this epic kart racer coming to Xbox One this December. This is an overview. KartRider DriftThis is the only cross-platform, free-to-play racing game that features deep character and customizable karts.

This is the guide for those who are new to this franchise. KartRider Drift is the latest generation in the KartRider franchise, which inherits the original Crazyracing KartRider’s fun and kart-racing mechanisms. The new title keeps the nostalgia alive by introducing next-generation graphics via Unreal Engine 4 along with improved gameplay systems, including cross-progression and cross-play support. In this upcoming closed beta, you’ll be able to play with racers worldwide in real time.

What’s New in Closed Beta 3?

You can do quite a bit! You’ll discover new maps, new features, new skins, new characters, new karts, and more. Many improvements will be made to the existing modes, such as Speed Mode and Item Mode.

Item Mode allows you to gather and use more than 15 items. These can be used to defend your teammates, attack them, or support them in team races. Speed Mode is another option for those who enjoy competitive, fast racing. Speed Mode allows you to drift skillfully to fill up your boost gauge and blast past other karts to claim victory.

Get your Racer or Kart customized and ready to hit the roads in style

One of the biggest new features we can’t wait for you to experience is the Livery System. Imagine your ability to personalize the colors, patterns, decals, and wraps on your kart, creating your very own design. Although we have some designs to guide you, the real goal is to allow you to customize them to create your own style.

We are also excited to introduce you to some new karts (it IS a kart racing game after all), including Brutus, Justice, Saber, Spider, and Storm…which look as awesome as they sound! These names are also great for kittens.

What good are sweet new rides without an experienced driver?  The current cast also includes KartRider Drift This intro introduces the mysterious Neo (not this one), the frightening Rex, as well as Marid, the queen of selfies in Closed Beta 3.

Lastly, you’ll discover 15 new tracks on top of the existing 16 tracks that beta participants have seen previously. There are many options for exploring city traffic, deserts and dusty mountains, as well as a course that lava explodes on the track. We’d love to hear your favorite after you have tried them all.
