Xbox Insider Release Notes – Alpha (2311.231011-2000)

Hey Xbox Insiders. There will be a brand new Xbox Update coming out in the Alpha Ring. It’s important we note that some updates made in these preview OS builds include background improvements that ensure a quality and stable build for Xbox consoles.

We continue to post these release notes, even when the noticeable changes to the UI are minimal, so you’re aware when updates are coming to your device. You can find the full details below.

System Update Details:

• OS Version Released: XB_FLT_2311ZN25398.2793.231011-2000
• Available: 2 p.m. PT – October 16, 2023
• Mandatory: 3 a.m. PT – October 17, 2023

The Fixes Have Been Implemented

The following fixes were implemented in this build, thanks to Xbox’s engineers.

Play the Game

• Fixes a problem where certain steering wheels would experience unwanted vibrations when playing titles.

Network Transfer

• Fixed a bug where certain users could not start network transfers as they expected.

• The console has been updated to correctly reflect all local languages.

There are known issues

It is our understanding that some of these issues were listed in the previous Xbox Insider release notes. These items aren’t being ignored, but it will take Xbox engineers more time to find a solution.

Audiences can be heard by clicking on the following link:

• There have been reports that users are experiencing audio problems intermittently across all dashboards, apps, games, etc. If you’re experiencing problems, ensure you have the most recent firmware update for your TV. If you’re unsure, you may need to contact the manufacturer for assistance.
  • Please Note:: If you continue to experience issues after applying the latest firmware updates, please submit feedback via Report a Problem immediately with the “Reproduce with advanced diagnostics” option, then select the category “Console experiences” and “Console Audio Output Issues”. Include as much detail as you can:
    • What was the initial cause of your problem?
    • Is the audio only in your game/app, or is it also system audio?
    • If yes, does changing the audio format solve the problem? How did the previous and new formats compare?
    • Rebooting the computer fixes this issue?
    • What is your set-up? Equipment, layout, etc.
    • You can also provide additional information to try and reproduce the error.

Xbox Controller Keyboard Mapping

• After quitting or restarting the console, your changes will appear if you make any keyboard language adjustments while using the Xbox Accessories application.

Networking

• We’re investigating reports that the console might not be able to connect with their network at boot. If you experience this, be sure to report the issue via Report a Problem as soon as you’re able.

Be sure to use Report a Problem to keep us informed of your issue. We may not be able to respond to everyone, but the data we’ll gather is crucial to finding a resolution.
