How can I catch the shiny Timburrs?

Community Day will boost the shiny rate of the highlighted Pokémon, making it the best chance to get a shiny.

The Silph Road website has been defunct since the early 2000s. About 1 in 24 Community Days will have shiny rates, which means that if you keep playing throughout the three-hour window, you should find quite a few shiny Pokémon.

Timburr Community Day will offer the following bonus:

• 2x chance for level 31+ trainers to get XL Candy from catching Pokémon
• Incense burns for three hours
• The lure module lasts for three hours
• Take 5x more photos with special photobombs

• Stardust price is halved if you trade it

You can also get the most out of an event by:

• You can spend $1 on a Special Research Story that features Candy and additional spawns. There is also a small storyline you need to finish.
• If you can Mega EvolveBlaziken, Medicham or Buneary you’ll score additional Timburr Candy per catch, with it being either +1 or +2 Candy depending on their level.
• If the usual 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. spawn increase doesn’t get you the Pokémon you wanted, you can try raiding for another chance, as there will be special Gurdurr Four-Star raids between 5pm and 10pm local time. Timburr spawns in 300-meters around the Gym for 30 Minutes if this raid is cleared. Due to the strength of these raids, they cannot be completed remotely.
