Pokémon Go ‘Harvest Festival’ event guide, all challenges and tasks

Pokémon Go’s Harvest Festival This event is themed around grass and takes place in October.

The title of the event is Smoliv makes its debut and its evolutions, Dolliv and Arboliva, which were introduced in Gen 9’s Paldea region.

One of two things can be done to locate Smoliv, and the evolution line that it represents. Collection ChallengesThe first focuses on the Pumpkaboo size and the evolution of Gourgeist, the second focuses exclusively on the Pumpkaboo.

Field Research and certain Lures will be changed for the duration.

Two Collection Challenges are available during the Event:

Pumpkaboo Collection Challenge

  • Pumpkaboo Small Size
  • Pumpkaboo (Average Size)
  • Pumpkaboo (Large Size)
  • Pumpkaboo (Super Size)
  • The Gourgeist Small Size
  • Gourgeist (Average Size)
  • Gourgeist (Large Size)
  • Gourgeist (Super Size)

Reward: 5,000 XP, 2,500 Stardust, 1x Mossy Lure Module

For those who purchased the Ticket of Treats payed research, you can also catch Pumpkaboos in the Wild, using Mossy Lure Modules. You must then evolve each of the sizes to obtain the Gourgeist.

Smoliv Collection Challenge

Reward: 5,000 XP, 2,500 Stardust, 1x Mossy Lure Module

Smoliv may be encountered in the wild or as part of Field Research Rewards. Then you need to earn 125 Candy to complete the Challenge.

Pokémon Go ‘Harvest Festival’ Field Research

You will encounter the following Field Research from spinning PokéStops. Even though they’re only collectible during event hours you can still complete the quests after the event has ended.

  • Catch 10 Pokémon (Burmy — Plant, Sand or Trash Coat encounter)
  • Catch 15 Pokémon (Pumpkaboo encounter)
  • Catch 30 Pokémon (Pumpkaboo encounter)
  • Use 5 Berries to help catch Pokémon (Smoliv encounter)

Pokémon Go ‘Harvest Festival’ times, dates and event bonuses

The “Harvest Festival” runs between The dates are: Thursday, October 12, 10 am local time, and Tuesday, October 17, 8 pm local time,

The following bonuses will also be in place until the event is over, along with the spawning and Field Research changes.

  • Mossy Lure Modules last for two hours, and have a “higher chance of attracting Pumpkaboo”
  • Pumpkaboo can be caught and will reward you with additional candy (3-5 Candy for each catch).
