Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City trailer leans into the horror

New teaser footage for Resident Evil is now available. It’s bone-chilling. There’s a creepy orphanage, terrifying dolls, spooky clowns — and that’s just the first five seconds!

Resident Evil: Welcoming to Raccoon cityIt is based solely on Resident Evil 2 and has nothing in common with previous Resident Evil films. The upcoming movie will instead focus on the games, and lean more into the horror. And judging by the eerie creatures and words written in blood in this teaser, it seems like it’ll do a very good job at that.

Claire Redfield (Kaya Skolario) will play as her brother Chris in this movie. They investigate the domineering corporation who experiments on their tiny town. On their way they will meet Leon S. Kennedy and Jill Valentine, both played by Avan Jogia.
