The fights we have are based on a more intense fighting system, and are against opponents that are quite different to the usual brawler. Growing up in 80s/90s New York, we saw first-hand the city that many beat ‘em ups (and action movies) got their inspiration from. As fans of these games and films, we created our enemies as a mixture. As a result, we designed our enemies to be somewhere in between.

Spreading out across several levels, you’ll travel to spots like the way too hip SoNo district, the windy streets of Chinatown, City Hall in lock down, the grimy subways, TV station offices, rooftops, and so much more on your way to getting to the bottom of the treachery in Beatdown City. You’ll be able to nod along with the classic tunes of Inverse Phase (whose chiptune tracks formed the basis of our rapbeats) while you explore the city.

The story is a 80s/90s-styled trope where Blake Orama is abducted by Ninja Dragon Terrorists. Mike Moneybags shuts down police to focus on the case and puts his own security firm in charge. This is where the players come in – Lisa Santiago, a fierce Boxer and MMA fighter, Bruce, a playful practitioner of jeet kune do and capoeira, and Brad Steele, a quick to temper former professional wrestler, come in.

You and your group of heroes are on the job, but you find that instead of fighting the ninja terrorists they have to fight an increasing number of line-steppers who fight for stupid reasons.

Inspired by the comedy of “Key and Peele” and “Chappelle’s Show”, with a nod to the ridiculousness of action games and movies of the 80s and 90s, Treachery In Beatdown City Ultra RemixTakes you through an even more densely populated city.
