A First Look at Little Nightmares III’s Necropolis 

Hello, dear children. It has been quite a while, hasn’t it?

For those of you who (barely) survived the previous nightmares, we’re incredibly pleased to welcome you back to our twisted world of darkest dreams. It’s time to return to the Nowhere. 

We know many of you have already tackled the Maw or the Pale City, but we are going somewhere new this time… Let’s take a first look at Little Nightmares IIILet’s go! 

 You may have already guessed! For the first time in the franchise’s history, online co-op will be available for those who wish to face their childhood fears with a friend. You’ll also have the choice to play solo and overcome these terrors with the help of an AI companion.  

You’ll play as Low and Alone, two determined children seeking an escape out of this distorted world. Using Low’s bow and arrows and Alone’s wrench, you’ll need to survive through many new and dangerous challenges… 

Gameplay begins in the deserted city of Necropolis. A giant ruin, it is bursting with windmills, sailings, and other wind-powered machines that keep turning under their own energy. The Necropolis is said to be a city of eternal energy, but also of certain death… its original inhabitants, the Dwellers, are no more. 

Wondering what became of them? Our two Visitors are not saying much about the stones or the crows. But, during their explorations they may uncover some secrets that have been hidden in the windblown sand. 

The Necropolis faces a first-rate threat in Monster Baby. This new resident’s eye is swiveling as she pulsates with menace. It is unclear what her true intentions are, but there is no doubt that she is dangerous. It is impossible to ignore her size, clumsiness and sheer joy. We recommend that you treat the game as though it was life and death. 

Other dangers are hidden within this dead city. You’ll also find that more than crows have come to nest in what was left behind by the Dwellers.

We’re also releasing a new original story set in the Little Nightmares universe with a podcast series called “The Sounds of Nightmares.”  

This podcast tells the story of Noone. She is a young woman who experiences increasingly disturbing and vivid dreams. In private sessions, she seeks to address them. Otto, her Counselor, is sympathetic, but the events in Noone’s nightmares seem to parallel his hidden past…

You can now listen to Episodes 1, 2 and 3 on any podcast app. A new episode is released every week until the entire series of 6 episodes has been completed.
