New Details on Capcom’s Dinosaur Action Game Exoprimal! Join the Second Open Beta Test This Weekend!

Hello, Exofighters! Here’s the latest dinosaur forecast: massive dinosaur outbreaks have once again engulfed the globe, threatening humanity’s very existence. From Friday, June 16 to Sunday, June 18 (UTC), you’re invited to suit up and join Capcom during its second Open Beta Test for Exoprimal. 

The Open Beta Test prior to this one focused on the testing of cross-platform matchmaking. This round, players will see the first parts of Exoprimal’s narrative, as well as fight for survival in story-related missions, 10-player co-op battles, and the intense action that awaits in the game’s main mode, Dino Survival. We’ve made some adjustments based on your feedback and hope to see you on the battlefield. 

If you respond to a short survey after playing in this Open Beta Test, you’ll be eligible to receive a “Flash” exosuit skin for Zephyr as a special bonus item that can be used in the full game. This is a different item than the one offered for the Open Beta Test. So, be sure you take out some dinosaurs to earn your bonus, then share your thoughts and redeem it!

We also just revealed a ton of exciting new information during today’s Xbox Games Showcase: Extended event:  

“Challenge Module, Online!” in Savage Gauntlet 

Savage Gauntlet will rotate PvE challenges every week, with teams of up to five players. As teams compete for top rankings and the fastest times, they will face the same opponents, stages and objectives. 

Savage Gauntlet mission are content for late game that offers a more challenging level. As an example, exofighters could find themselves facing several dinosaurs of greater size at the same time. Exosuits with higher levels of protection and Modules equipped will increase your chance to survive and succeed. Build strategies with your friends to determine if they have the skills necessary to win. 

Once missions conclude, squads receive a rank such as “A” or “B” based on how quickly and skillfully they complete objectives. Exofighters can earn exciting rewards by achieving higher ranks. Missions are replayable, and you’re welcome to return with new strategies as you aim for a faster completion time.  

Different Exosuits 

Exosuits with different weapons and combat styles are not the same as standard exosuit models. These suits offer an even wider array of combat options to overcome the challenges presented in Leviathan’s ever-changing wargames. You can use them to help your team fight for survival. 

Deadeye is equipped with an assailant rifle, for instance. Deadeye Alpha’s Burst Fire suit is equipped with a shotgun that can also be used to fire bursts of bullets. This allows you to launch a variety of short and long range attacks depending on your proximity to the enemy.  

The range of suits is expanding. Exoprimal in a post-launch title update — check out the video below for a preview of what these variant suits have to offer. 

There will be new updates to the website. ExoprimalEach in-game seasons. The game includes Exoprimal’s first Capcom collaboration, featuring special crossover contents from Street Fighter 6This will be released in the Fall of 2023. We have some exciting things in store for this collaboration, including exosuit skins that transform players into Ryu and Guile, as well as Ryu’s iconic hadoken as an emote. 

Exofighters will be able to enjoy free updates after launch that include new exosuits and missions. They can also expect to see new stages. We plan to share the game’s roadmap at a later date, so stay tuned to see what else is on the way.

Exoprimal is an online, team-based action game that pits humanity’s cutting-edge exosuit technology against history’s most ferocious beasts – dinosaurs.​​

The exosuits have different roles and the players must pilot them to stay afloat against dinosaur swarms.
Dino Survival is the primary game mode. Two teams consisting of five players are competing in PvE or PvP missions.
The players will travel to the site of the most recent dinosaur outbreak, and then follow Leviathan to achieve their objectives. First to complete the mission will be victorious.
Either players fight against the common enemy or directly engage with the opposing side, they must achieve their objectives as fast as possible. As missions vary based on players’ skills and other factors it is impossible to predict how each match will play out.
