It’s a resource you can collect that lets you craft structures and tools to use both in battle as well as around the world. Here, we’ll dive into how to get started with Karakuri, what it can do, and how you can use the skills to take down monsters in creative ways.

Karakuri, an ancient technology that runs through Azuma’s land, is your chance to harness it. Karakuri is a powerful technology that can be used for building structures and coordinating attacks against vicious prey. It also unlocks more tools and skills to help you defeat the most formidable beasts. It will appear frequently along your journey as a glowing green substance detected with your Hunter’s Vision. You’ll need to stop and collect the resources in order to keep crafting objects that will help you take down the Kemono, the monsters overrunning the land. This ancient power can also be found in your AI companion who will aid you during battles and help collect Karakuri threads from the surrounding area.

You’ll not be able to take on the treacherous battles ahead without grasping the fundamentals, so we’ve compiled a guide that will help you get started on the hunt.

Karakuri and Karakuri, Traversing The Wilds

Azuma is an intimidating, vast landscape. The Kemono that lurk within it travel great distances. Basic Karakuri is a tool that allows you to create items that make it easier to hunt. These include crates that can climb higher and springs that enable you to jump across broken bridges or cavernous chasms.

Karakuri unlocks new ways to explore and navigate the globe as you advance. Karakuri’s abilities allow you to build Hunting Towers which will reveal Kemono hidden in your immediate vicinity. Flying Vine allows you to fly high on a zipwire. This is great for crossing rivers or scaling cliffs.

You can use the Karakuri skill trees to unlock even more upgrades like the Wind Vortex, which allows you to fly high in the sky and the Glider to get a view of an area or the Launcher that can launch smaller Karakuri objects, such as yourself, into the distance.

Powering up your camp

Karakuri can also be found in Azuma’s wildness to make camps. The Dragon Pit can be found and used to create a camp. You can use these spots as a permanent place to rest in order to prepare for battle or to quickly travel back in case of an emergency.

Karakuri is able to make a few helpful resources here. A Hunter’s Tent lets you get some much needed rest before or after a figh while a Campfire helps you to plan your next hunt, and wait for fellow adventurers to join you if needed.

If you’re in need of a brand-new weapon or an armor upgrade, you can build the Field Forge, and immediately craft whatever you need for the fight ahead if you have the right materials, whether it’s poison-resistant gauntlets or a giant hammer. The Drying Rack is useful for cooking, while the Ingredients Chest can store the resources that you’ve gathered.

Taking Karakuri into Battle

Your Karakuri powers can also be wielded to gain advantage over Azuma’s colossal Kemono. Place six crates quickly together to create a Bulwark. It can be used to put a barrier between you and your foe, or stop a Kemono from attacking, but it is not possible to damage them.

Fusion Karakuri is used to summon the Pounder. It’s a powerful hammerhead capable of inflicting severe damage on Kemono. Fusion Karakuri is also able to unlock the Elemental Lintern. This device can help protect you against the deadly effects of elemental strikes that your foe might use.

You can use your Flying Vine offensively as well with the Impaler Upgrade. Instead of zipping on solid ground, shoot the contraption into a Kemono instead to injure those who are coming in. Your basic Karakuri are also able to be made in battle. Make sure that you make use of every opportunity. All of your Karakuri can be used to power up, allowing you to face stronger, more lucrative Kemono all across Azuma.

HUNTING IN A PACK OR A LONE WOLF
In WILD HEARTS™ you can face the Kemono alone or unite with up to two friends (or fellow players) to stalk and hunt your prey.

You can hunt to get up, but you need to gear up.
You will make more progress the more hunt you do. After creating your character, gather the materials you need from each hunt to build armor and weapons for taking down bigger creatures.
