Everything announced at Nintendo Direct February 2023

Nintendo revealed its first-half 2023 game lineup, and laid out plans for the future Switch titles during Wednesday’s Nintendo Direct livestream. Nintendo also spoke about previously-announced titles like Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe, BayonettaOrigins: Cereza, the Last DemonPlease see the following: Pikmin 4,The eagerly awaited headliner of the Direct was at the Direct Tears of the Kingdom: The Legend of Zelda.

As always, surprises were offered, including the revival and restoration of the long-defunct Samba de Amigo franchise, and new versions of Nintendo’s games for older-generation consoles. Nintendo also gave us an exclusive look at the next Professor Layton video game. The New World of Steam: Professor Layton.

Legend of ZeldaTears from the Kingdom

With Tears of the Kingdom: The Legend of ZeldaNintendo has shared a new look at the game 2023, months before its release on May 12, 2017. The highly anticipated title is the sequel to 2017’s The Legend of Zelda – Breath of the Wild — keeping its open-world exploration and expanding that upward and into the sky.

Nintendo also revealed that Link’s next adventure will carry a higher-than-normal price tag: Tears of the Kingdom: The Legend of ZeldaWhen it goes on sale in May, it will be available at a price of $69.99

Advance WarsReboot Camp: 1+2

After a 11-month wait, Advance WarsRe-Boot Camp 1+2 On the Nintendo Switch, they will be available April 21. They’re up on the Nintendo Switch eShop for purchase. Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp they were meant to release in April 2022. However, Nintendo delayed them after Russia invaded Ukraine in March. Nintendo said the delay was due to “recent world events,” likely meaning the Russian attack — Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot CampIt is a turn-based, cartoon-styled strategy wargame.

Game Boy Online – Game Boy Advance and Game Boy Online

Nintendo Switch Online is getting its Game Boy Advance and Game Boy Game Boy titles. Nintendo Switch Online members can get the Game Boy Advance titles, and those with Game Boy games are eligible for a membership or expansion pass. Metroid Prime remake

Original Metroid PrimeNintendo Switch will get a revised version that adds dual-stick controls and dual-stick control to the GameCube classic. It’s coming to the Nintendo eShop later today, and a physical version is coming to stores Feb. 22.

Pikmin 4

Pikmin 4 is the fourth Pikmin game in the franchise’s mainline series, one that people have been waiting on for a decade. Nintendo announced Wednesday that the forthcoming strategy game would be released on July 21st. The trailer starts with Pikmin landing on Earth and doing Pikmin things — breaking stuff and fighting enemies — with a very cute dog named Oatchi and new types of Pikmin, like an ice-type.

Samba de Amigo: Party Central

It’s been decades since developer Sonic Team and publisher Sega released Samba de Amigo, an arcade rhythm game that later came to the Dreamcast (2000) and Nintendo’s Wii (2008). It’s simple. Move your maracas and your body to the beat. Samba de Amigo: Party CentralOn June 30, Nintendo Switch will release 40 songs from different genres. There’s more than maraca-shaking this time, too, with minigames — like a love checker — and online play with up to eight players.

Baten Kaitos Remaster

Add another re-release to the list of things announced during Wednesday’s Nintendo Direct. Baten Kaitos – Eternal Wings & the Lost Ocean will get an HD version for Nintendo Switch alongside a remaster of the 2003 GameCube game’s prequel, Baten Kaitos Origins. Baten KaitosNamco originally published the original game. The first release was in Japan, before being released in North America in 2004. After the launch of JRPG, Namco discontinued publishing it. Origins Monolith Soft, the developer of the game, worked on several other projects such as the Xenoblade Chronicles and other games.

It has been many years since the JRPG was launched, but fans still have hopes for it and its transformable playing cards. Baten KaitosCould come back in the future. Looks like 2023 is the year — specifically, in the summer.

Fashion Dreamer

Fashion Dreamer is basically a fashion-influencer simulator, where you get scored on your best looks — kind of like Love NikkiBut without the crazy story. It’s a new IP from XSEED, and it’s coming to Nintendo Switch exclusively in 2023.

Dead Cells: Castlevania Returns

Dead CellsA Castlevania-themed extension is planned. Castlevania: Return. The Nintendo Switch will get it on March 6, after the Game Awards.

Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective

Capcom’s Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective It is A reissue of the adventure game from 2010. It’s expected out in 2023 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PC via Steam.

We Love Katamari ReRoll+ Royal Reverie

Namco’s We Love KatamariIt is currently being remastered We Love Katamari ReRoll+ Royal Reverie. This puzzle game is the sequel to Katamari Damacy, and in it, the player controls a rolly-polly character who collects a whole bunch of stuff — you know, in classic Katamari style.

Splatoon 3.

Splatoon 3.’s expansion pass is a paid DLC with two waves of content — the first of which adds Inkopolis. This first wave will arrive on Nintendo Switch during the spring. Side Order will be the second wave.

Disney Illusion Island

Disney Illusion Island looks to be a stylized Disney platformer that brings Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and Donald Duck into a new, mysterious world — and it’s got multiplayer for up to four players. It’s coming to Nintendo Switch on July 28.

The Fall of Reverie: Harmony

The future of humanity is at stake in Don’t Nod’s The Fall of Reverie: Harmony. This dramatic video game will be available on Nintendo Switch starting June. Don’t Nod is known for the Life is Strange franchise.

The New World of Steam: Professor Layton
