Disgaea 7 Takes Players To A Feudal Japanese Underworld This Fall

Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtuless is coming this fall, and this time it’s injecting the series’ absurdity with a dose of classical Japanese history.

The latest episode in this wacky strategy series takes place in Hinomoto, a feudal Japan-style demonic kingdom. The underworld inhabitants were made up of several netherworlds and followed the bushido codes of honor, until an oppressive regime promoted a code for destruction. To stop the threat, a lazy Samurai called Futo and an otaku girl named Pirilika must work together.

Disgaea 7 features over 40 characters classes. This includes four new character classes: Maiko Bandit Bandit Zombie Maiden and Big Eye. Disgaea 6’s 3D sprites are also retained. Jumbofication is a new mechanic that transforms characters into larger versions to deal massive damage. The ability to reincarnate equipment or items allows you to transform them into new forms. For example, turning a weapon into an item of healing. With deeper customization of characters, auto-battles are now more effective. Now, your forces can stand a better chance against other players’ troops in the new online ranked battles.

Unlike Disgaea 6, a Switch exclusive at launch, Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtuless will be available on multiple platforms on day one. The game is available on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 as well as PC, Switch, and PC.
