Phineas and Ferb returning with new episodes

Disney Channel Animation Series – Beloved Phineas and FerbDisney revealed Friday that the show will have 40 additional episodes. This revival was made possible by a deal that Dan Povenmire has struck with the series creator. Povenmire will return to production on these episodes which will then be divided across two seasons.

“It has been the greatest pleasure of my career to see how an entire generation of kids and parents have embraced the characters and the humor of Phineas and Ferb,” Povenmire said in a news release. “I’m eagerly looking forward to diving back into the show for them and for a whole new generation.”

Co-creator Jeff “Swampy” Marsh is in talks to return as well, reports Variety. Disney has not yet revealed when or where the episodes will air. Phineas and FerbDisney Branded Television now produces the shows. It is a division within Disney that currently airs on Disney Channel and Disney Plus as well as Disney Junior and Disney XD. Phineas and FerbInaugurated in 2008. It follows two innovative brothers who build increasingly elaborate creations and get up to wild shenanigans across one summer — while their older sister tries to get them in trouble. Their pet platypus, however, is a spy agent trying to stop Dr. Doofenshmirtz’s evil plans in every episode. Each episode is fast-paced with hilarious gags.

Officially, the show ended on 2015 with its last season shifting from Disney Channel to Disney XD. The last Phineas and Ferb movie will air in 2020. Candace Against Nature hit Disney Plus.
