The Game Awards 2022: How to watch the announcements, trailers & winners

The Game Awards 2022, the ninth edition of Geoff Keighley’s annual showcase of big games both new and coming soon, airs live on Thursday, Dec. 8 at 7:30 p.m. EST/4:30 p.m. PST. You can watch this year’s Game Awards right here, via YouTube. Twitch, Facebook and TikTok are also live streaming the event. TwitterInstagram and many other social media platforms. The event is open to Steam viewers who log in.

Keighley and game developers have begun to tease what the Game Awards 2022 will bring, along with new looks, for publishers. Tekken 8, Star Wars Jedi: The Survivor, Destiny 2: Lightfall, and something new from ol’ Crash Bandicoot himself. You will also see Glass Onion’s Daniel Craig, Jessica Henwick, and Rian Johnson, and Last of UsStars: Bella Ramsey and Troy Baker as well as Ashley Johnson. The exact nature of the Hollywood talents they will bring is still unknown.

Another possible candidate is a fresh look Final Fantasy 16Square Enix Street Fighter 6Capcom, Diablo 4 from Blizzard Entertainment. Given how much teasing longtime Geoff Keighley collaborator Hideo Kojima’s been doing about Kojima Productions’ next game, that could show up here too.

One title that’s NotNetherRealm Studios’ next game is expected to be out soon. They are the ones behind Injustice, Mortal Kombat, and Injustice. Ed Boon, chief creative officer at NetherRealm said ahead of the show that his studio isn’t ready to announce its next game just yet.
